Multi-Region Cloud Migration

Moving a logistics platform off ageing on-premise hardware into a resilient two-region AWS deployment.

The client was running a business-critical logistics platform on hardware that was out of warranty and in a single building.

Approach

We rebuilt the infrastructure as code, migrated workload by workload with rollback available at every step, and ran the two environments in parallel until the client was satisfied.

Outcome

  • Recovery time objective reduced from 3 days to 40 minutes
  • Infrastructure cost down 31% against the previous hosting contract
  • Deployments moved from monthly to daily
